The intergrowth of crystalline phases and low interstitial glass boundary phase increase the structural stability of Alpha-Beta under load at high temperature. It offers excellent corrosion resistance and low defect potential in the conditioning or refining end of a glass melting furnace. That it is very suitable for paving blocks and forehearth channel blocks.
